SUMMARY:I.M.P.A.C.T.\, Training for the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Prosecutor: Initiating Meaningful Prosecution at Critical Times
DESCRIPTION:A three and one-half day intensive training for the J&DR prosecutor. The program focuses on juvenile court practice & procedure and dealing with juvenile delinquency.   Specific topics to be covered include juvenile brain development\, juvenile trials & sentencing options\, DJJ length of stay guidelines\, substance abuse and juveniles\, transfer/certification issues\, juvenile sex-offenders and competency issues. \nLodging will be provided for attendees whose offices are more than twenty-five miles from the Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center in Glen Allen\, VA.  Meals will be provided or reimbursed\, but mileage to and from the program is not covered. \nOnce you’ve registered\, you will receive a confirmation email. This training is limited to 25 students who will be accepted on a first come\, first served basis\, with preference for one attendee per jurisdiction. DESCRIPTION:CIIFER is CASC’s new digital evidence conference\, a two-day statewide conference welcoming prosecutors and law enforcement for a multi-track agenda that will include in-depth basic and advanced training on cyber-attacks\, forensic analysis of digital devices\, and obtaining digital records from third parties such as cellphone and internet providers. This program will include subject-matter experts from multiple disciplines as well as representatives from some of the nation’s largest internet-service providers. Multiple attendees from the same jurisdiction will be considered if space is available.
