SUMMARY:CIIFER: Cyberattacks\, Internet Investigations\, Forensic Analysis and Electronic Records: Digital Evidence conference for Prosecutors and Law Enforcement
DESCRIPTION:CIIFER is CASC’s new digital evidence conference\, a two-day statewide conference welcoming prosecutors and law enforcement for a multi-track agenda that will include in-depth basic and advanced training on cyber-attacks\, forensic analysis of digital devices\, and obtaining digital records from third parties such as cellphone and internet providers. This program will include subject-matter experts from multiple disciplines as well as representatives from some of the nation’s largest internet-service providers. Prosecutors and law enforcement of all experience levels are welcome. \nDetails regarding lodging and meals will be provided in the fall of 2019. \nFor more information\, contact Elliott J. SUMMARY:Prosecutor Bootcamp: A Comprehensive Training for the New Prosecutor
DESCRIPTION:A week-long intensive training for the new prosecutor.  This program is open to prosecutors with three years or less experience. Specific topics to be covered include trial skills\, evidentiary issues\, practice in General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court\, work-life balance\, and legal writing\, among others. \nLodging will be provided for attendees whose offices are more than twenty-five miles from the Stonewall Jackson Hotel\, Staunton\, VA.  Meals will be provided or reimbursed\, but mileage to and from the program is not covered. \nOnce you’ve registered\, you will receive a confirmation email. This training is limited to 30 students who will be accepted on a first come\, first served basis\, with a preference for one attendee per jurisdiction. Multiple attendees from the same jurisdiction will be considered if space is available.
