Intro to Human Trafficking for Law Enforcement and Prosecutors

CASC, DCJS and the VSP together are offering a free two-day training to both prosecutors and law enforcement on the Introduction to Human Trafficking Investigation and Prosecution. It will be held in Williamsburg January 12 – 13, 2026. This basic training is a prerequisite to the advanced training.

This free two-day (all day each day) training will increase the overall awareness and understanding of human trafficking, and dispel common myths and misconceptions by way of data. It will further create an understanding and working knowledge of the applicable forced labor and commercial sex trafficking laws as well as increase victim identification and improve human trafficking investigations and prosecutions. Lastly, it will improve the collaborative response to combat trafficking in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The program is free. Lodging will be provided, if requested, for attendees whose offices are more than twenty-five miles from the training site.  Free parking is available.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge each day. Dinner will be on your own and not reimbursed. Mileage is NOT covered and will be the attendee’s responsibility.

Seats are limited. By registering to attend, you are agreeing to attend and participate in the entire two-day program. CLE’s and PIC credits will be provided.
