Ms. Jenkins called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Travel Vouchers for New Members
Ms. Jenkins announced that travel vouchers for Council members were sent digitally to all members and were attached to agenda packets available for pickup at the meeting.

Board & Council Meeting & Events Schedule
Ms. Jenkins reported that the draft schedule of the upcoming year’s events also were included in the agenda packets.  Ms. Chambers noted that the 2015-2016 Council meetings were highlighted so that everyone can put those dates in their calendar.

New CASC Programs
Ms. Chambers announced new CASC training programs will be rolled out in 2015-2016.   The new programs will be Prosecuting Homicide Cases to be held in Williamsburg from November 16 – 19, 2015, Virginia Criminal Procedure 101 to be held in Williamsburg on November 18, 2015, White Collar Crime Prosecution to be held in February 2016 and J&DR Prosecutor Training to be held at Smith Mountain Lake in May, 2016.

Community Training PowerPoint Presentations
Ms. Chambers reported that the North Carolina District Attorneys Association has shared PowerPoint presentations that they developed for their membership to use when holding local community training programs.  She circulated a list of topics and asked if members were interested in CASC producing local training PowerPoints.  Members indicated that they were interested in all suggested topics.

There being no further business before Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:36 a.m. The next regularly scheduled meeting is September 23, 12:00 noon, at the Henrico County Sheriff’s Office Conference Room.
