Old Business
2012 VACA Annual Summer Conference Training Program – Mr. Harris informed members that a draft of the summer conference agenda was attached to the meeting agenda.  He outlined CASC training agenda items with explanations for new additions.

Mr. Grimes inquired about progress on opening up our trainings to other state prosecutors.  Mr. Harris reported that he has made some phone calls and is waiting for responses.

Mr. Grimes brought up Technology in the Courtroom training program progress.  Mr. Harris reported that he has developed a 2 to 3 day program template.   CASC will need to select dates and line up speakers.  Mr. Doucette will look at agenda and see how many faculty members are needed.  Mr. Harris stated that Lynchburg will be the likely location for the program.  Mr. Bushnell commented that Apple appears to have money to donate and he suggested that CASC get in touch with them for contributions to help fund this training.   Mr. Branscom reported that the State Bar tried this approach and was unsuccessful.  Members pointed out that we are a public service agency and the State Bar is not.  Mr. Harris said he would look into this further.
